Listen to Dr. Caron Goode on Soul Lab Radio discussing the methods of Raising Intuitive Children!
Raising Intuitive Children helps parents understand an intuitive child’s world. More than that, it shows parents how to validate, not suppress, these intuitive abilities. The stakes are high. If their intuitive abilities get dismissed, intuitive children can lose their way, their joy, and their spirit.

The following examples show how children can vary in the expression of their intuitive or psychic gifts.
- Children who learn through feelings and process information kinesthetically. (Intuitive learning mode)
- Children who are creative and artistic and intuition drives their motivation. (Artistic drive for exploring and creating)
- Children whose intuitive intelligence is like a radar reading other people and understanding them. (Empathy and interpersonal skills)
- Children who have intuitive episodes like dreams or a flash of creative insight. (Deep insight, precognition)
- Children who are psychic. (Awareness of non-physical worlds through all senses or a specific sense.
Intuition is their common denominator, as we humans share the same brain processes. Thus, all of us have the same intuitive capabilities. Like musical prodigies and math geniuses, children exhibit talents in different ways. Intuitive children with highly tuned sensory perceptions display their gifts in what our cultures might think are unconventional ways. Like how many parents are ready to believe that their children see ghosts?

Honor your intuitive and pyschic child’s feelings about a person or experience. Adjust according to how your child feels; you will show your child you respect what they have to say and they will respect you for trusting their emotions.
Children have a built in intuition we as parents have shut down or forgotten about. When they feel a strong sense about a person or situation, it’s important to hear what they have to say and trust their inner guidance. Too many times, we have felt the internal nudge to trust our own feelings and often look back and wish we had. Children’s natural sense is much more heightened and the more we pay attention to what they are telling us, the more we can guide them to trust their inner knowing which will be an important compass for the decisions they will be faced to make in their life.
A few years ago I was faced with a difficult decision to end a friendship with a woman who had deeply hurt my children’s feelings. To some, including this friend, she felt our friendship was more important than the opinions of my children, however as a parent my children’s needs come first and because I value and respect their feelings, I detached from the friendship without judgment or blame. Although to some people this would seem to be a bit extreme, the respect I showed my children will long outlast a friendship with a stranger.
